Pamela Holsinger AMM - Managing Director

Prior to starting Eventcorp 12 years ago, Pamela worked in the hotel and tourism industry for 8 years in senior management positions.  Her knowledge and expertise are constantly sought after by her peers and other professional organisations. 

Pamela’s focus is on the strategic direction and marketing of the company.  She is committed to the growth of the business through staff development and training, much of which she undertakes herself.  Her commitment to quality is demonstrated by the event management policy and procedures manual that she wrote and is continually updating and developing.  She maintains overall operational control through the two State managers and takes a keen interest in the service delivery of Eventcorp to its customers.

Additionally, Pamela was the first Event Manager in South East Queensland to achieve individual accreditation with the Meetings Industry Association of Australia.  She has been continually involved with many industry bodies such as:

Wilhelm Holsinger Company Secretary

Wilhelm’s expertise in information technology keeps our networked systems operating efficiently.  He undertakes continual upgrades and improvements, by keeping abreast of the latest trends in technology, whilst maintaining his role as Company Secretary.  Whilst not involved in the day to day operation of the business he is involved in the long term strategic direction of the company.

One of Wilhelm’s strategic strengths is his outstanding ability in guiding the writing of policies and procedures to ensure a high standard of quality workmanship within the organisation.

 

Sonia Beecher Queensland State Manager / Senior Event Consultant

In her role as Queensland State Manager, Sonia oversees all conferences and events run out of the Brisbane office, ensuring a consistent level of high quality customer service.  Sonia has over 20 years management experience in hospitality as well as the conference and event management with high profile organisations not only in Australia, but also in Kenya.  Sonia has personally managed all aspects of conferences and events with over 1000 delegates both as an in house organiser and as a professional conference organiser working for clients.  She has very sharp management and people skills with the ability to ensure service exceeds the customers' expectations.

Having worked for a large professional association for five years where she was responsible for their 10 plus major conferences on an annual basis and numerous smaller seminars and events, Sonia has an in depth knowledge of the culture and needs of associations and their members.

Other experience includes running an upmarket conference centre for a period of five years, organising large events and conferences for a large international corporate company and managing the catering contract for 900 extras for a major Hollywood movie over a six week period in Africa .  Whilst in Kenya she was responsible for working with destination marketing companies organising and managing numerous incentive programs as well as managing an internationally recognised five star restaurant with a clientele taken straight from the world’ “Who’s Who”..

Sonia is well credentialed and holds a Degree in Hotel, Catering and International Management, a Diploma in Marketing and a Masters of Business Administration (Professional).

 

Matthew Dean – New South Wales State Manager / Senior Event Consultant

Matthew joined Eventcorp in February 1999 after 10 years extensive experience in 4 & 5 star hotels and conference centres in Australia, the UK and Canada.  In this time Matthew managed and supervised large events for up to 4000 people.  His in-depth knowledge and experience of operational and on-site procedures has supported his transition into professional conference and event management.  Matthews experience has enabled him  to successfully manage numerous association and corporate events for Eventcorp.

Matthew as the State Manager of the New South Wales branch has a portfolio of repeat clients and events that are amongst the most prestigious in the country. Matthew has a diverse skill base including an intimate knowledge of project management, event marketing, event logistics and contract negotiation.  Our clients praise his in-depth knowledge, proactively and attention to detail.

He holds an Associate Diploma in Hospitality Management.
